peek-a-boo

i'm finally back on track with my editing after the crazy power outage we had last week. i'm working on the last wedding i shot but came across this photo of my little Ant i took the other day. he's obsessed with hiding behind our living room curtains!

day with anthony

I've been trying to find a little time to work on some personal projects and ideas that have been in my head for a while. I'm  a big fan of photojournalism and documenting moments in a person's life. Capturing moments of people without them knowing I'm there.  There is something so pure and innocence about a natural reaction or emotion.  The look on a groom's face as his bride enters the church, or the emotion of a bride's father as he sees his little girl in her wedding gown for the first time. The look of a mom as she cuddles her newborn. Moments that don't need posing, direction or instruction.

Well, for me, the most real subjecrs to photograph are kids. In this case my kid. My little boy Ant. I could have the camera 6 inches from his face and he acts like I'm not there. Did you ever try and pose a 2 year old? Don't! It's definitely a test of your patience to photograph an almost-2 year old throughout an entire day, but I couldn't ask for a cuter subject.

So here is my first attempt at a little photo story. Click the link below to check it out.

A Day in the Life of Anthony

Angelo

My sister Lisa and bro Ben brought this amazing little guy into the world yesterday morning! I couldn't be happier for them...and it looks like Anthony has some competition with those cheeks!!

something a little different

do i have much time to shoot personal projects? not much these days but whenever I get the chance I'll go out and shoot what I can. The images below are from a family zoo trip last week. I thought I'd give you something a little different tonight. There will be plenty more wedding, engagement and portrait photos soon!! Enjoy these!
